Springboks will face the All Blacks in Castle Lager Rugby Championship

The Springboks’ and New Zealand All Blacks were two teams will play each other twice in the Castle Lager Rugby Championship of the next year, with the first meeting taking place in Johannesburg the week prior on August 31.

On 7 September 2024, at DHL Stadium, the Springboks vs All Blacks will play in the Castle Lager Rugby Championship. The All Blacks’ all-action 14-test season is capped off with a historic match against Fiji in San Diego and home tests in Dunedin.

In addition to two of the Springboks’ fiercest opponents travelling to South Africa in 2024 for a tantalising two-Test series, a brand-new foe will also play when the resurgent World Champions emerge from their international hibernation on July 6.

When the Springboks play Ireland at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on July 6, they will have been back in action for 252 days. A week later, the teams reunite at Hollywoodbets Kings Park for the first time in eight years when the defending Six Nations winners travel to South Africa.

One week later, on July 20, the Springboks will play their first Test match against Portugal. Portugal made an impression in the Rugby World Cup by drawing with Georgia in an exciting match and then defeating Fiji 24-23 in their last pool match.

Next, as part of the Castle Lager Rugby Championship, fellow RWC finalists New Zealand will make a return for a two-test series in August and September. When the teams play in Johannesburg on August 31, the Springboks will be looking to defeat the All Blacks for the third time in a row—a feat they haven’t achieved since 2009.

A week later, the action shifts to Cape Town, where the All Blacks will play their first-ever game at DHL Stadium. In 2017, the team’s final encounter in the Mother City ended in a 24–25 loss to the Boks at Newlands.

The Boks will play their fifth Test match of the season at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, where they hold a perfect record after victories over Scotland, Wales, and New Zealand. Argentina’s Pumas will be the guests.

In New Zealand, Sky TV will exclusively broadcast all 14 All Blacks Test matches live. The public can purchase tickets for the Steinlager Ultra Low Carb Series starting on Wednesday, May 29 at 10 a.m. Public ticket sales for the Lipovitan-D Rugby Championship will begin on June 19 at 10 a.m. Fans can sign up to express interest in buying tickets HERE.
